Abstract

Bebras task is a task based implementation of Computational Thinking (CT) or informatics, which is followed by an interesting image for elementary to senior high school students. Bebras Challenge uses a set of Bebras tasks, which are run in a competition yearly. Bebras Challenge in Indonesia has been held by Bebras Indonesia since 2016. International Bebras Community (IBC) begins the preparation of Bebras Challenge by holding Bebras Task workshop. IBC invites all its members (National Bebras Organizer/NBO) from several countries. Each NBO contributes Bebras tasks, which are developed by teachers or lecturers from its country. During the International Bebras Task Workshop, the tasks will be reviewed tightly. The result of the workshop is a set of Bebras tasks which are feasible to be utilized in Bebras Challenge. In February 2021, for the first time, Bebras Bureau Maranatha Christian University held an online Bebras task workshop for teachers. In the workshop, teachers were trained to develop Bebras tasks based on good criteria of IBC and also in accordance with local wisdom. From 58 teachers who followed the workshop, there were 10 teachers that developed 12 Bebras tasks. From the review process, there were 4 tasks eligible for the International Bebras Task Workshop in May 2021. The developing process of Bebras tasks, revisions, and also translation were mentored by Bebras Bureau Maranatha Lecturers. With the increasing number of tasks that Bebras Indonesia can produce, it is hoped that it can improve the quality of CT-based tasks so that Indonesian students can develop more.
